USS SARGO deployed to the Western Pacific in October for the nineteenth and final time. USS SARGO remained a first line “Fighting Lady” to the end. During this deployment she conducted her longest transit in the past eleven years and her longest period of independent continuous submerged operation in the past seven years.

During October through December USS SARGO visited Guam and Subic Bay, Philippines.

During January and February USS SARGO continued its WESTPAC deployment. The USS SARGO conducted upkeeps at Guam and Subic Bay, Philippines and made a port visit to Hong Kong, B.C.

In March USS SARGO conducted an extended submerged training exercise.

In April USS SARGO continued her WESTPAC deployment making a port visit to Chinhae, Korea before returning Pearl Harbor, HI.
